Miami Jr. NBA Basketball League

Welcome to the Parents Corner. This page is designed to give families all the information they need for a smooth, positive season. Please review carefully.

? WELCOME PARENTS

At Miami Jr. NBA, we believe youth basketball works best when parents, coaches, and the league are aligned. Our goal is to provide a structured, organized, and positive environment where kids can develop on and off the court.

? SEASON OVERVIEW

  • Ages: Boys & Girls 5–17

  • Season Start: March 7

  • Location: Miami Edison Senior High School

  • Game Day: Saturdays

  • Practices: One per week (scheduled by coach)

? COMMUNICATION (VERY IMPORTANT)

All league communication is handled through the TeamLinkt App.

This includes:

  • Team assignments

  • Practice schedules

  • Game schedules

  • League announcements

? Parents must download and use the TeamLinkt App after registering.
The league is not responsible for missed information due to failure to use the app.

? PLAYER EVALUATIONS

Player evaluations are used to:

  • Place players on balanced teams

  • Fit players for the correct uniform size

⚠️ If your child does not attend evaluations, the uniform size selected during registration will be used, and the league is not responsible for incorrect sizing.

? UNIFORMS

  • Uniforms are included in the registration fee

  • Jerseys are ordered after registration closes

  • Uniform sizes cannot be changed once ordered

  • No refunds after uniforms are ordered

Parents are responsible for selecting the correct size unless their child attends evaluations.

⏱ PLAYING TIME

Miami Jr. NBA guarantees meaningful playing time for all participants.

Playing time may vary based on:

  • Attendance

  • Effort

  • Coach instruction

  • Game flow

This is a development-focused league, not a bench-heavy environment.

? GAME DAY EXPECTATIONS

To maintain a positive environment:

✔ Parents must remain in spectator areas
✔ No sideline coaching
✔ Respect referees, coaches, players, and staff
✔ Follow all facility rules

Failure to comply may result in removal from the facility without refund.

?‍⚖️ REFEREES & OFFICIALS

Referees are human and learning just like the players.

  • Judgment calls are final

  • Abuse of officials will not be tolerated

  • Issues should be directed to league staff—not referees

? SAFETY & MEDICAL

  • Parents certify their child is physically able to participate

  • League staff may seek medical attention if necessary

  • Parents should notify the league of any medical conditions during registration

? REGISTRATION, PAYMENTS & REFUNDS

  • Registration fee: $150 (uniform included)

  • Payment plans are available

  • Refunds are limited and subject to the official Refund Policy

  • No refunds after uniforms are ordered

? PARENT CONDUCT & ACCOUNTABILITY

Parents are expected to:

  • Model good sportsmanship

  • Support all players, not just their own

  • Communicate respectfully with staff

Disruptive behavior may result in disciplinary action, including removal from the league.

Requests are not guaranteed.

What if my child misses games or practices?
No refunds are issued for missed activities.
