? GENERAL LEAGUE INFORMATION

▶ What ages can participate?

Answer:
The league is open to boys and girls ages 5–17.


▶ Where are games and practices held?

Answer:
All games and league activities are held at Miami Edison Senior High School. Practice days and times are assigned by coaches based on gym availability.


▶ When does the season start?

Answer:
The season begins March 7 and runs approximately 7 weeks.


▶ What day are games played?

Answer:
Games are played on Saturdays.


? REGISTRATION & PAYMENT

▶ How much is registration?

Answer:
The registration fee is $150 per player, and includes the uniform.


▶ Are payment plans available?

Answer:
Yes. Payment plans are available. However, the full balance must be paid before uniforms are ordered.


▶ Are refunds available?

Answer:
Refunds are limited. No refunds are issued once uniforms are ordered. Please review the full Refund Policy before registering.


▶ Can I transfer my child’s registration to another child?

Answer:
No. Registrations are non-transferable.


? UNIFORMS & EVALUATIONS

▶ How do I choose the correct uniform size?

Answer:
Parents select a size during registration. To ensure the best fit, players are strongly encouraged to attend evaluations, where they will be properly fitted.


▶ What happens if my child does not attend evaluations?

Answer:
If your child does not attend evaluations:

  • The size selected during registration will be used

  • The league is not responsible for incorrect sizing

  • No exchanges or refunds will be issued


▶ When will uniforms be distributed?

Answer:
Uniforms are distributed once they arrive, typically near the start of the season. Distribution details will be shared through the TeamLinkt app.


? TEAMS, PRACTICES & PLAYING TIME

▶ How are teams formed?

Answer:
Teams are formed based on:

  • Age

  • Player evaluations

  • Competitive balance

Requests for specific teams or coaches are not guaranteed.


▶ How often are practices?

Answer:
Each team will have one practice per week.


▶ Is playing time guaranteed?

Answer:
Yes. Miami Jr. NBA guarantees meaningful playing time for all players. Playing time may vary based on effort, attendance, and coach instruction.


? GAME DAY RULES

▶ Can parents coach from the sidelines?

Answer:
No. Sideline coaching is not permitted. Coaches coach. Referees officiate.


▶ Where can parents sit during games?

Answer:
Parents must remain in designated spectator areas at all times.


▶ What if I disagree with a referee’s call?

Answer:
Referees’ decisions are final. Concerns should be directed to league administration, not referees or coaches.


? COMMUNICATION (IMPORTANT)

▶ How will I receive league updates?

Answer:
All league communication is handled through the TeamLinkt App, including:

  • Team assignments

  • Practice schedules

  • Game schedules

  • League announcements


▶ Will communication be sent by email?

Answer:
No. TeamLinkt is the primary communication platform for the league.


? CONDUCT & DISCIPLINE

▶ What behavior is expected from parents?

Answer:
Parents are expected to:

  • Show good sportsmanship

  • Respect coaches, officials, and staff

  • Follow all league and facility rules

▶ What happens if a parent violates the Code of Conduct?

Answer:
Violations may result in:

  • Warning

  • Removal from the facility

  • Suspension from future games

  • Removal from the league without refund


? SAFETY & MEDICAL

▶ What if my child has a medical condition?

Answer:
Parents should disclose any medical conditions during registration. In an emergency, league staff may seek medical care if necessary.
