Miami Jr. NBA Basketball League
The Miami Jr. NBA Basketball League is committed to providing a positive, safe, and respectful environment for all players, coaches, officials, and families. Parents and spectators play a critical role in setting the tone for youth sports.
By registering a child in the league, parents and guardians agree to abide by the following Code of Conduct.
Parents and guardians are expected to:
Encourage good sportsmanship, effort, and teamwork
Support all players, not just their own child
Allow coaches to coach and officials to officiate
Communicate respectfully with league staff at all times
Follow all league and facility rules
To maintain a positive game-day environment:
❌ No sideline coaching or directing players
❌ No arguing with referees, coaches, or staff
❌ No negative comments toward players, officials, or opposing teams
✔ Applaud effort, improvement, and sportsmanship
Parents who interfere with game play or instruction will be asked to stop immediately.
Referees’ decisions are final
Abuse, harassment, or intimidation of officials or staff will not be tolerated
All concerns must be directed to league administration—not referees or coaches
Parents and spectators must:
Remain in designated spectator areas
Respect school property and staff
Ensure children not participating are supervised
Any damage caused by a participant or spectator is the responsibility of the parent or guardian.
Failure to follow this Code of Conduct may result in:
Verbal warning
Removal from the facility for the day
Suspension from future games
Removal from the league without refund
Disciplinary decisions are made at the league’s discretion and are final.
We believe youth sports are most successful when parents, coaches, and the league work together. Your cooperation helps create a positive experience for every child involved.
By registering your child in the Miami Jr. NBA Basketball League, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to follow this Parents Code of Conduct.
