The Miami Jr. NBA Travel Team program is designed for players who are ready to take the next step in their basketball development through advanced training, higher-level competition, and increased commitment.

This program is invite-only and separate from the regular league season.

? WHAT IS THE TRAVEL TEAM?

The Miami Jr. NBA Travel Team competes in:

• Regional tournaments

• Competitive showcase events

• Structured travel games against top programs

The focus is on player development, exposure, and competitive experience—while maintaining discipline, sportsmanship, and team-first culture.

?? ELIGIBILITY

• Open to boys and girls (age divisions announced per season)

• Players are selected through:

  • League evaluations

  • Coach recommendations

  • Tryouts (if required)

Selection is based on skill level, coachability, effort, and attitude.

? PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

✔ Advanced skill development
✔ High-level competition
✔ Experienced coaching
✔ Team practices and film review (as applicable)
✔ Tournament and travel exposure
✔ Strong emphasis on discipline and accountability

? SEASON & COMMITMENT

Travel Team participation requires a higher level of commitment than the regular league.

Typical expectations include:

• Multiple practices per week

• Weekend tournaments (local & regional)

• Travel may be required

• Mandatory attendance at practices and games

Schedules and commitments will be shared prior to acceptance.

? UNIFORMS & FEES

• Travel Team uniforms are separate from league uniforms

• Program fees vary based on tournaments, travel, and events

• Details will be provided after selection

? PARENT EXPECTATIONS

Parents of Travel Team players are expected to:

• Support team travel and scheduling requirements

• Follow the Parents Code of Conduct

• Communicate through the TeamLinkt App

• Commit to the full Travel Team season

This program is not a casual commitment.

? COACHING & LEADERSHIP

Travel Team coaches are selected by league administration and are expected to:

• Teach advanced fundamentals and team concepts

• Hold players accountable

• Represent Miami Jr. NBA with professionalism

The goal of the Miami Jr. NBA Travel Team is to:

• Prepare players for higher levels of competition

• Build basketball IQ and confidence

• Create opportunities through competitive play

• Develop disciplined, coachable athletes
